Chattanooga camera research

Where are Flock cameras in Chattanooga?

Stop Flock documents automated license plate reader locations in and around Chattanooga through field observations, camera photographs, public records, agency information, and community reports. The database may include Flock Safety, Motorola/Vigilant, and other ALPR systems when the vendor can be identified.

Because cameras can be installed, moved, replaced, or removed, each location should be evaluated with its source and verification date rather than treated as a permanent inventory.

September 2026 development

Chattanooga approves new five-year Axon contract authority

On September 22, 2026, the Chattanooga City Council agenda included a resolution authorizing the Department of Technology Services to enter into a five-year contract with Axon Enterprise for public-safety hardware and software supporting the Chattanooga Police Department and Chattanooga Fire Department, with an annual spend limit not to exceed $3 million.

Local reporting on the proposal says the package includes the right to acquire up to 36 additional license plate readers. Reporting also states CPD currently operates 41 Motorola readers, meaning the proposed authority could expand the city-operated LPR inventory if all 36 are ultimately purchased. The contract authorization does not itself establish that every proposed Axon product or all 36 readers will be purchased or deployed.

What Stop Flock is requesting next

Executed contract documents, complete pricing and product schedules, proposed LPR quantities and locations, Axon Fusus licensing, enabled AI capabilities, retention and sharing settings, and any privacy or legal review associated with implementation.

Why the distinction matters

The council action authorizes contract spending and purchasing authority. Individual products listed in a vendor proposal may still require later purchasing, configuration, deployment, or policy decisions. Stop Flock will track what is actually acquired and activated.
